This joyful track along with it's positive lyrics of hope for the new year was one of the stand out songs of the 'Late Nights' album and needed to be released as a single.

As Mary says "Every night over covid I put songs up on social media, mostly covers and I called them "Keep the spirits up songs"

Close to five hundred songs were played which give Mary the confidence when lockdown was over to record some music to release to a ready made audience.

One of the songs she wrote was ' Keep The Spirits Up" - it's now become her "stranger things" moment, a song that helped her out of the lockdown darkness.
